How to Kill Time...

1-
Try to recognize opportunities for killing time. If you have a dentist's appointment,or are going to wait for a job interview, you can usually assume you will have some time to kill.

2-
Keep a mental list of activities or chores you either find yourself procrastinating about, or just never have time for, that do not require a lot of preparation to begin.
Here are some example.

->If you are waiting for an appointment, and your checkbook is handy, you may be able to pull it out and take a look at the check register, totaling up the deposits and debits, and making sure the entries are up to date.

->Update your daily planner. Many of these are on PDAs or other electronic devices, and old entries can be deleted to free up space from time to time.
Clean out your cell phone's messages and old contacts. If you have a cell phone with a bunch of old contact information, or that stores a lot of recent calls, missed calls, and voice and text messages, this might be a good time to clear all of the useless stuff out.

->Organize your purse or wallet. Be careful here, that no one is observing you if you have a lot of cash, or personal stuff that is pulled out, but if there are few people in the waiting room, you may sort your credit cards, business cards, and other stuff to make things a bit easier to find when you need them.

3-

Think about hobbies or crafts that are portable and simple to start and stop as you go.Some people like to have craft projects to keep their hands busy while they wait.
Examples...

->Knitting or crocheting. Small projects like potholders or knitted mittens may be portable enough to take with you in a small accessory bag or you purse.

->Doodle or sketch. Great inventions have been begun in sketch pads, or maybe even on a napkin. Keep a pencil and small pad for doodling away time you are waiting. If you're with someone else you can even create your own turn based strategy game by drawing buildings and units and expressing their actions turn by turn.

->String beads. This can be messy if something spills.

4-
Read. This is an obvious step, and if you have planned to have a wait during your day, you can bring a magazine or paperback book along with you, and catch up on this often ignored hobby.

5-
Rubik's Cube! Even if you're not the best at it, it's fun to practice!

6-
Write a song or rap. Let it be about anything you like, anything you don't like, or anything you can think of.

7-
Turn a piece of paper into a masterpiece, or just into a paper plane (you know - origami?)

8-
Choose a song and make your own music video or act like you're the artist.

9-
Go bother someone. Seriously, this one works.

10-
Search the internet for tutorials or watch funny videos in Youtube
